Beer Recipes

The recipes on this page are not a comprehensive step-by-step guide to brewing.  They assume you already understand the brewing process (e.g. clean & sanitize everything that touches your beer after it has been boiled).

Mile's Golden Belgian Ale

Sorry, this one is my secret.  You'll have to have an inside line to get your hands on this brew.

Club 33 British Ale

Grain #1:  British Maris Otter, 1.75 lbs
Grain #2:  Crystal 60L, .75 lbs
Extract #1: Briess Light DME, 3 lbs
Extra Sugar: Brown sugar, 1 lbs
Bittering Hop: Northern Brewer, 1.3 oz
Flavor Hop: East Kent Golding, 0.5 oz
Aroma Hop: East Kent Golding, 0.3 oz
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham Ale Yeast

Steep grains together in 1.5 gallson of water at 165 F for 60 minutes.  Sparge with a half gallon of 170 F water.  Add an additional 1.5 gallons of water and bring to a boil.  Turn off heat, stir in extract and brown sugar.  Bring to a boil again adding 1.3 oz of Northern Brewer hops.  Boil for 45 minutes and then add 0.5 oz of East Kent Goldings hops.  Boil for an additional 15 minutes (60 minutes total), turn off heat, and add 0.3oz of East Kent Goldings hops.  Cool as rapidly as possible to under 85 F.  Sprinkle dry-yeast on the bottom of your sanitized fermentation vessel and pour wort on top of it.  Pray.
